Rahu Kalam (రాహు కాలం) is a period of approximately 1.5 hours each day considered inauspicious in Hindu astrology. During this time, Rahu — the shadow planet associated with deception and obstacles — exerts a negative influence. Starting new ventures, travel, important meetings, or auspicious ceremonies during Rahu Kalam is traditionally avoided.
