Chapter 26 — the story
Durvasa reaches Vaikuntha and begs Vishnu for refuge. Vishnu tells him Ambarisha did no wrong — sipping water is allowed even on a fast day.
He explains that the births in Durvasa's curse will become his own ten avatars (Dashavataras), taken for the good of the world — and that remembering them destroys sin.
What this chapter teaches
Even a curse, taken on by the Lord, becomes a blessing for the world — the ten avatars.
